Getting Licensed: The Essentials
The Real Estate Industry in Queensland is regulated by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). To work as a Salesperson or Property Manager under a licensed agency, you must hold a 'Salesperson Certificate' issued by the OFT.

To get your certificate, you first need to complete the required training and obtain a 'Statement of Attainment'. This statement is the key document you will submit to the OFT to support your application.

Where to Get Your Training (Sunshine Coast Focus)

Real Estate Institute of QLD (REIQ) The REIQ is the peak industry body, making them a preferred training partner. They offer flexible training, including fully online or blended (online and in-class) delivery. While based in Brisbane, they run courses regularly.
